Jaipur: The health dept has removed 69 pharmacies from the empanelled list of the Rajasthan Govt Health Scheme (RGHS) after audits flagged alleged overbilling, suspicious claims, non-supply of medicines and billing of generic drugs as branded products.This covers 58 allopathic and 11 ayurvedic pharmacies.Drug licences of 14 allopathic pharmacies have already been cancelled, with similar action recommended for an additional 44, in addition to 11 ayurvedic outlets.Of the 69, ten pharmacies accused of charging patients above market rates have been temporarily shut. Nagpur: Crime Branch arrested a 42-year-old man wanted in a case involving the seizure of MD (Mephedrone) worth over Rs 1.23 lakh.The accused, Mohammad Faizan Ansari, a resident of Mominpura, was caught on July 18 from the Teka Naka area in Jaripatka following a tip-off. The case dates back to June 25 when Tehsil police arrested 25-year-old Mohammad Sufiyan near the Tehsil police station.During a search, police recovered 12.25 grams of MD powder in a ziplock pouch in his trouser pocket.
