New Delhi: Aster DM Quality Care Ltd has announced its subsidiary KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML) will invest about Rs 134.4 crore to expand its hospital facility in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

The Board of Directors of KHML has approved the construction of a new block and optimisation of existing facilities at KIMSHEALTH Hospital, the company said in a regulatory filing late on Monday.

The expansion will add 184 beds to the current capacity of 795 beds, taking the total count to approximately 979 beds, the filing said, adding that the project is slated for completion on or before May 2028.

The investment will be funded through a mix of 70 per cent debt and 30 per cent equity.

The company said that the move aims to address space constraints, facilitate the expansion of key specialties, and strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Thiruvananthapuram to support future growth.
