Patna: The Bihar assembly and civil courts in Patna and Siwan received bomb threats via emails on Friday, triggering panic and large-scale security checks. All three premises were evacuated, and intensive searches by dog squads and bomb disposal teams found no suspicious objects.The email threatening the Assembly claimed that “13 RDX have been planted… Be ready for a blast at 2.15pm,” and warned that “13 RDX IEDs mixed with cyanide gas are ready to explode.” It also called for immediate evacuation of MLAs and the public. Acting swiftly, the Sachivalay Police conducted a thorough search of the Vidhan Sabha complex, but nothing was found.Pirbahore SHO Mohd Sajjad said, “The Patna civil court received a bomb threat via email. The court premises were searched properly by the security agencies and the police teams. No suspicious object was found during the search operation. Meanwhile, the court proceedings continued as usual.”In Siwan, security was tightened after a similar threat. SP Puran Kumar Jha said, “Despite an intensive search, no suspicious object or explosive material was found, and the threat was declared a hoax. Police have directed the cyber cell to conduct a technical investigation to trace and verify the source.”
