He advocated for a “whole-of-nation” approach to tackle both external threats and internal developmental gaps simultaneously.Throughout the sessions, various speakers provided incisive perspectives on the operational realities of the eastern sector. The discussions featured a rigorous analysis of adversarial strategies and evolving threat patterns, particularly along the northern frontier. Experts emphasised the urgent need for long-term security planning to counter calibrated pressure from across the border, alongside integrated policy frameworks that align defense preparedness with national development goals. Furthermore, the participants stressed the importance of enhanced institutional coordination to streamline infrastructure projects in sensitive zones. The deliberations culminated in a set of actionable recommendations focused on preserving Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, advancing sustainable tourism, and reinforcing civil-military convergence.
