In a tragic incident that has left the community in shock, 18-year-old Ananya Kumari, a Class XII student from Bhojpur district, was found deceased in her home, hanging from a ceiling fan. A note discovered at the scene revealed she was battling health issues and stress related to her impending exams.

Ara: A Class XII student, who was to take her CBSE physics examination, allegedly died by suicide early on Friday morning at her home on Club Road under Ara Nawada police station area in Bhojpur district.The girl was identified as Ananya Kumari (18), daughter of Satish Kumar Pandey, a railways employee.She was found hanging from a ceiling fan with her dupatta. The police also found a suicide note in which she allegedly stated that she was unable to cope with her illness and feared that she would not be able to take her examination. She added that she was ending her life at her own will and not under anyone’s pressure. She further wrote that she was sad to see her family members in tension due to her illness and asked her parents and two siblings to take care of themselves.SHO of Ara Nawada police station, Bipin Bihari, said, “As per our initial investigation, the girl was ill and was under tension due to the exam. The police were informed about the incident at about 2.30am on Friday. We rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem to Sadar Hospital, Ara. The FSL team has reached the spot to gather evidence.”The father of the deceased girl, Satish Kumar Pandey, said, “My daughter was suffering from mild jaundice. I wonder what happened to her. She had her dinner on Thursday night and went to sleep in her room. However, later she was found hanging.”He added that he had advised his daughter to take her examination next year if she could not prepare well this year due to her illness. However, she allegedly used to say that her studies were not going well due to her illness.Her uncle, Guddu Pandey, said Ananya was the second among three siblings.
