Ramban, Aug 20: An apple-laden truck bearing registration number JK04F-5051, travelling from Srinagar towards Rajasthan, rolled down the roadside at Cafeteria Morh Flyover in Ramban on Thursday morning.
According to officials, the truck’s wheel area reportedly heated up due to continuous travel, leading to a tyre burst. Following the incident, the truck hit the flyover wall before rolling down the roadside.
The truck’s diesel tank also leaked following the accident. However, the driver and co-driver are safe.
A team of F&ES Ramban, along with local police personnel, has reached the spot and is carrying out rescue and recovery operations to retrieve the truck.
The rescue operation is currently underway.
