The Board of Secondary Education has also indicated that results will be released online, ensuring easy access for candidates across the state. Amid growing speculation on social media regarding the result date, the Department of Government Examinations has issued a clear clarification, stating that no official date has been announced yet. The department has dismissed viral claims about imminent release as false and has urged students, parents, and teachers to rely only on official communications. Authorities have also warned that strict action will be taken against those found circulating misleading information, while officials have been instructed to monitor and control the spread of rumours.Government issues official clarification on fake result date rumoursThe Department of Government Examinations has issued a formal warning against misinformation being circulated on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups.In its official communication, the department stated: “It has come to our notice that false information is being circulated in certain WhatsApp groups, claiming that the results for the 10th Grade (SSC) Public Examinations will be released tomorrow. This information is entirely untrue.”The department further clarified that no official date has been announced yet: “The Office of the Director of Government Examinations has not yet issued any official announcement regarding the release date of the SSC Public Examination results. The date for the release of results will be officially communicated at an appropriate time.”Authorities have urged students, parents, and teachers to ignore unverified claims and rely only on official announcements.Instructions issued to education officialsIn an advisory issued to Regional Joint Directors of School Education (RJDSEs), District Educational Officers (DEOs), and Academic Grade Cluster Educational Officers (ACGEs), the government directed officials to immediately spread awareness about the misinformation within their jurisdictions.The communication stated: “DEOs and ACGEs are directed to immediately inform the students, parents, teachers, and other concerned stakeholders within their respective jurisdictions regarding this matter. They must clearly advise them not to believe such false information.”Officials have also been instructed to actively monitor online platforms: “DEOs are directed to monitor WhatsApp groups within their districts and immediately issue instructions to the respective group administrators to prevent the circulation of such false information. They must ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent the dissemination of such misleading reports.”Legal action warning issuedThe department has also issued a strict warning regarding consequences for spreading fake news.“It must also be made clear that appropriate legal action will be initiated against individuals found circulating false information.”Examination schedule and result accessThe AP SSC examinations 2026 were conducted in pen-and-paper mode from March 16 to April 1, 2026. Once declared, students will be able to check and download their scorecards using their roll number and roll code.Apart from the official website, results will also be available via the ‘Mana Mitra’ WhatsApp service and the LEAP mobile application. A total of 6,14,459 students appeared, of whom 4,98,585 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 81.14%.Parvathipuram Manyam district recorded the highest pass rate at 93.90%, while 1,680 schools achieved a 100% pass result.Girls outperformed boys, securing a pass percentage of 84.09% compared to 78.31% for boys, a difference of 5.78 percentage points.Post-result process and certificatesAfter the results are declared, original SSC pass certificates will be sent to schools.
