Kolkata: Any BJP worker with a party flag seen resorting to vandalism will be expelled, BJP president Samik Bhattacharya said on Tuesday, stressing that BJP has closed its doors to any fresh induction.“At some places, people carried the BJP flag and engaged in vandalism. We want to make it clear that if anyone does such a thing, we will be compelled to expel them from the party. Celebrations were held across the country for West Bengal. We want to tell our workers to stay peaceful and not hurt anyone’s sentiments,” he said.Bhattacharya also appealed to chief secretary Dushyant Nariala to ensure prompt administrative intervention wherever incidents of violence are reported. While BJP has been witnessing a surge to join the party, its state netas want to stop the “stream” or “unwanted influx” for now. “Inductions have completely stopped. No one from any other party can be taken into BJP for now. We have sent this message to every level of the organisation,” Bhattacharya said. Union minister Sukanta Majumdar said “all inductions are stopped until further notice”.
