Hisar: Renowned Bollywood musician Anu Malik will release a special song dedicated to Aksharam-2026, a national-level literary and cultural festival to be held at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, from April 3 to 5.The song, sung by Anu Malik himself, has been specially created to mark the festival.Vice-chancellor Prof Narsiram Bishnoi said the Aksharam-2026 exhibition will be inaugurated on April 3 at 4.30 pm, while the formal opening ceremony of the festival will take place on April 4 at 10 am. The exhibition will highlight the cultural, literary, and historical heritage of the nation, with a special focus on Haryana.Anu Malik will attend the event as the chief guest and inaugurate the exhibition. Besides this, he will also interact with students, sharing insights on the significance of literature, dialogue, and culture. He is expected to speak on the creative aspects of music and its role in preserving cultural roots.Described as a first-of-its-kind initiative in Haryana, Aksharam-2026 will feature over 100 events spanning literature, dialogue, and cultural expression. Eminent writers, artists, thinkers, and film personalities from across the country are expected to participate.The festival aims to foster creativity, intellectual sensitivity, and cultural awareness among youth. It is being organised with the support of institutions, including the Union ministry of culture, ministry of energy, Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Academy, and SUPVA, Rohtak.The event will also host book launches, poetry recitations, and satirical performances. Cultural programmes such as Haryanvi folk dances, college band performances, and a bhajan evening will add to the festive atmosphere.Folk fairs and cultural markets will be among the key attractions, offering visitors a glimpse into traditional arts and crafts.
