New Delhi: Amidst the ‘Shuddhikaran’ row raised by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, BJP president Nitin Nabin will visit Haldwani on September 9 to assess the ground situation ahead of state assembly elections.
He will be on a two-day visit to the state starting from Haldwani. On September 10, he will be visiting Rudrapur. Nabin had visited the state in May. His upcoming visit is important as the state BJP has been fiercely battling the ‘Shuddhikaran’ allegations by the Congress. In early August, some people had cleaned the stage in Haldwani after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge left the place.
Congress made it an issue of untouchability and BJP has been attacking the Congress for raising this issue only with political motives.
