Ambala: Haryana Police have arrested the main accused in an eight-year-old Ambala hotel firing case after he was deported from the US.The accused, identified as Satinder, a resident of Jodhpur village in Mohali district of Punjab, was apprehended by a CIA-II team soon after he landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Satinder had fled abroad about three years ago while he was facing trial in two criminal cases registered in Ambala. The first related to the 2018 Pyramid Hotel firing incident in which the accused allegedly opened fire at employees. He was booked for attempt to murder and other offences. The second case was regarding a violent assault inside a jail in 2018. Ambala SP Ajay Singh Shekhawat said Satinder was deported from the USA in a flight recently and was arrested upon his landing at Delhi.
