Srinagar, Jul 30: Direc-tor, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K, Alok Ku-mar (ADGP) on Thursday felicitated seven serving and retired personnel of the Department by presenting them with Gal-lantry Medals (GM), Meritorious Service Medals (MMS) and appreciation certificates in recognition of their exceptional bravery, distinguished service and unwavering dedica-tion to duty.
The awardees honoured during the ceremony include: Firdous Ahmad Khan (LFM-1449) – Medal for Gallantry (GM), Bashir Ahmad Ahanger (FM-1996) Medal for Gallantry (GM), Puran Singh (LFM) – Medal for Meritorious Services (MMS), Satpal Khujuri ya (LFM) Medal for Meritorious Services (MMS), Ab Rashid Ganie, Sub Officer (Retired) Medal for Meritorious Services (MMS), Gh Mo-hi-ud-Din Dar (SGFM) – Medal for Meritorious Services (MMS) and late S.K. Raina (Deceased) Medal for Gallantry (GM), awarded posthumously.
Speaking on the occa-sion, Director Fire and Emergency Services ADGP Alok Kumar -IPS
congratulated the awardees and appreciated their outstanding contribution towards protect-ing lives and property under challenging circumstances.
He urged all personnel of the department to con-tinue serving with dedi-cation, discipline and compassion, while up-holding the highest stan-dards of professionalism in safeguarding the peo-ple of Jammu and Kash-mir.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of medals and certificates to the awardees amidst applause from the officials of department.
