Prayagraj: A delegation of Provincial Medical Services Association,UP (Prayagraj branch) and other health organisations on Saturday handed over a memorandum to the District Magistrate (Prayagraj) Manish Kumar Verma regarding the allotment of the official residence of Chief Medical Officer (Prayagraj) located at Mahatma Gandhi marg to other government official and expressed their concern over the allotment.The association members appealed the district magistrate to look into the issue and consider their demand. The association members have also called an emergency meeting at the MLN Medical college on September 6 to chalk out their further course of action which will be attended by both government and private doctors of the city.The bungalow of the incumbent CMO, Dr. AK Tiwari, is located on MG Marg. This bungalow has been allotted to the CMO for over 30 years and the CMO currently resides there. It is reported that the district administration is planning to hand over this bungalow to the chief deveopment officer (CDO), while the CMO would be shifted to a government flat near the Circuit House.
