Patna: The Lok Bhawan on Monday shared with all universities concerned the university-wise, subject-wise and college-wise allotment list of candidates finally selected for appointment as assistant professors on a contractual basis in 211 new degree colleges across Bihar.The allotment list, circulated for information of the candidates concerned, specifies the colleges and subjects to which the selected candidates have been assigned. The subjects covered include sociology, English, political science, economics, Hindi and history.The list has been prepared university-wise, covering Patliputra University, Jai Prakash University, Purnea University, Munger University, B.N. Mandal University, Magadh University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. A significant feature of the allotment is that several posts have been shown as “vacant” in different subjects and colleges, indicating that all available positions in the new degree colleges have not been filled through the present allotment.The move is expected to pave the way for the deployment of contractual teaching personnel in the newly established degree colleges, many of which are located in rural and semi-urban areas. The list includes colleges spread across a large number of blocks and districts, reflecting the geographical spread of the new institutions.
