Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd on Sunday disclosed that it has been named as a respondent in an arbitration proceeding involving its subsidiary, Minakshi Agro Industries LLP (MAILLP), with a claim amounting to ₹25.53 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

“Mr. Balaji Pawar has filed a Statement of Claim dated June 6, 2026, before the Sole Arbitrator Smt. Sadhana Jadhav, former Judge of Hon’ble Bombay High Court, claiming an amount of Rs. 25,53,62,813/- together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date of filing the Statement of Claim till realisation,” Allied Blenders and Distillers said in its exchange filing.

The dispute has been initiated by Balaji Shivdas Pawar, a partner of MAILLP, who has filed a statement of claim before a sole arbitrator seeking recovery of alleged outstanding dues along with interest at 18% per annum. The arbitration is being conducted before Sadhana Jadhav, former judge of the Bombay High Court, appointed as the sole arbitrator in the matter.

The claim arises from a Deed of Retirement-cum-Admission dated December 10, 2024, executed between Pawar, MAILLP, the company and another party. Pawar has sought recovery of ₹25,53,62,813, including interest from the date of filing of the claim until realisation. The company received the statement of claim on June 6, 2026.

Allied Blenders and Distillers said both the company and its subsidiary have engaged legal counsel to contest the claims and will file a statement of defence, along with a counter-claim against the claimant.

The company asserted that the claims are either partly or fully unsustainable and are based on “fundamental factual misstatements” and alleged suppression of material facts.
