Chennai: Blunav, an airport operations technology company, has raised $1 million in seed funding from Piper Serica.It is building systems from flight operations and gate and bay allocations to passenger systems and commercial activities into a platform and has been deployed at Chennai International Airport, under the Airports Authority of India (AAI)’s Startup India initiative.Blunav is focused on scaling its platform across multiple airport environments over the next 12–24 months and the capital will support the team expansion, product development, and the scale-up of deployments across India and international markets, it said in a statement.Suseendar Marimuthu, cofounder and chief executive of Blunav said, “There is a large segment of airports that has historically been underserved by existing technology solutions. Our focus is to enable these airports with scalable, accessible systems while maintaining global standards of performance and safety.”
