He said his loss is not just a setback for journalism but a deep void in Kashmir’s moral and intellectual fabric. “Dr Shujaat Bukhari was not only a journalist of repute but also a compassionate human being who quietly contributed to society through his philanthropic efforts, always extending help to those in need without seeking recognition,” Inam said.
Inam Un Nabi further said that Dr Shujaat Bukhari consistently believed in the power of dialogue & dignity and worked towards creating an environment where ideas could prevail over conflict. “His life reflected a rare combination of intellect and empathy. Remembering him today is also a reminder of our responsibility to uphold those values in both public and private life,” he said.
Meanwhile, special prayers were also held at AIP Headquarters in Srinagar, where party leaders including MLA Langate Sheikh Khurshid Ahmad, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq, General Secretary Prince Parveez, Party Spokesperson Firdouse Baba, and Secretary Finance Parveez Ahmad Bhat participated and paid homage to the late journalist.
