Bhubaneswar: Two alleged poachers were arrested in separate intrusion cases after they were captured by AI-enabled cameras while allegedly entering Similipal Tiger Reserve for poaching activities, forest officials said on Thursday.The accused, identified as Gasa Ho (22) of Anantapur under Udala police station limits and Kishun Tudu (29) of Sanjunpal under Kaptipada police station limits in Mayurbhanj district, were later traced and apprehended by personnel of Similipal Wildlife Intelligence Network.Officials said the duo was found carrying weapons and explosives. During the operation, forest staff seized two country-made guns and a quantity of explosives from their possession. The accused were produced before a court and subsequently sent to judicial custody after their bail pleas were rejected. The arrests were made in separate cases registered under wildlife protection laws.
