Ahmedabad: The parents of a 14-year-old girl have filed a complaint with Ranip police against a youth, alleging that he was stalking and harassing their minor daughter for several days.According to the FIR lodged by the girl’s father, the accused allegedly followed her while she travelled to and from school and also waited outside the residential society where she lives. The parents claimed that despite the girl’s repeated attempts to ignore him, the youth continued his behaviour, causing her fear and distress.The matter came to light after the girl informed her parents about the harassment. Following her disclosure, the family lodged a police complaint.An FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
