Ahmedabad: A total of 16 school teams participated in the Satellite Model Making Challenge on Tuesday, organised by the Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) in collaboration with Isro-SAC ahead of National Space Day on Aug 23.Students in Classes 9 to 12 participated in teams of three, each with a mentor. The satellite models were presented in two categories — conceptual and semi-functional.“The competition encouraged students to think creatively while identifying problems and applying concepts related to design, space technology and its applications,” an official said.
