Ahmedabad: The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad city was recorded at 36.3 degrees celsius, which was 0.5 degrees below normal. On the other hand, the minimum temperature, at 23.2 degrees, was 2.8 degrees above normal.The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its bulletin on Wednesday, indicated that the state was currently under the influence of two systems — an upper air cyclonic circulation over west Rajasthan and a western disturbance in the form of a trough. As a result, temperatures are expected to drop by about 2–3 degrees in both maximum and minimum readings over the next three days, along with light to moderate showers in some parts of the state.While rainfall was recorded in parts of north Gujarat and the Saurashtra-Kutch region on Wednesday, most districts of the state are expected to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers on Thursday.On Friday, unseasonal rain has been forecast for Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Mahisagar, and Kutch districts. From Saturday onwards, the impact of the western disturbance is likely to dissipate, according to the IMD forecast.Across the state, maximum temperatures remained between 31 and 36 degrees in most cities and towns, with Rajkot recording the highest maximum temperature at 37.5 degrees.
