Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad chapter of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) outperformed the regional average in the CMA Foundation examination, posting pass percentage of 81.98 in the results declared on Thursday. The chapter also celebrated a national achievement as city student Manoj Suresh Patel secured All India Rank (AIR) 9.The CMA Foundation examination was conducted on June 14. According to official data, 222 students from the Ahmedabad chapter appeared for the exam, of whom 182 cleared it. The performance was well above the Western India Regional Council’s average pass percentage of 76.3%.The latest results also marked an improvement over the chapter’s performance in the Dec 2025 examination, when it had recorded an 80.34% pass rate, indicating a steady rise in students’ success in the professional course.Ahmedabad’s Manoj Patel, who secured AIR 9, scored 364 out of 400 marks. His achievement placed Ahmedabad among the country’s top-performing centres and brought recognition to the city’s ICMAI chapter.Apart from the national rank holder, several students from the Ahmedabad chapter scored above 80%, reflecting the strong academic standards and consistent preparation among aspirants in the city.ICMAI officials said the results underline the chapter’s sustained academic progress and growing success in professional examinations.
