Ahmedabad: A 42-year-old Paldi resident was killed in a hit and run near Anjali Crossroads on Sunday morning, following which N Division traffic police registered a case against an unidentified driver.According to a complaint lodged by Satish Jagariya, a resident of Narayannagar in Paldi, his elder brother, Sunil Jagariya, was found lying injured on the road after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. Police said he later succumbed to his injuries. At the time of the accident, Jagariya was travelling as a pillion rider on a motorcycle ridden by a person whose identity is yet to be established.N Division traffic police inspector Hardipsinh Sodha said CCTV footage from the junction and nearby establishments are being examined to reconstruct the sequence of events and identify the vehicle involved.Investigators are also verifying technical evidence and speaking to people who may have witnessed the accident. The body was sent for postmortem examination, and further investigation is underway.
