Ahmedabad: Maximum temperatures across the state are set to rise by two to three degrees in the next 48 hours, according to the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday. There will be no major change in minimum temperatures, the forecast added.In Ahmedabad city, the maximum temperature on Tuesday was 38°C, 4.2°C above normal. Likewise, at 20.9°C, the minimum temperature was 3.4 degrees higher than normal. On Wednesday, the temperatures are likely to be in the same range, according to the forecast.The forecast also indicated chances of hot and humid conditions in coastal Saurashtra and Kutch from March 4 to 6. At 38.4°C, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Deesa on Tuesday.
