Ahmedabad: Gujarat University will conduct the exam for the posts of senior clerk and junior clerk on Sunday, March 15, in which around 8,000 candidates are expected to appear. However, candidates are facing a tough choice as the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has also scheduled exams for several Class-2 posts on the same day. Since the eligibility for both exams is graduation, many candidates may have to skip one of the two exams. After a long gap, Gujarat University is conducting recruitment exams for various non-teaching posts. In preparation for the exam, the university declared a holiday on March 13 for administrative arrangements. This will allow the university to complete preparations on Friday and Saturday before conducting the exam on Sunday.Meanwhile, GPSC also scheduled exams for multiple Class-2 positions on the same day. These include posts such as assistant administrative officer Class-2, administrative officer, fisheries service Class-2, and administrative officer in the general state service, among others.Sources said that the minimum eligibility for both exams is graduation. As a result, several candidates who applied for the university recruitment exam may also be eligible for the GPSC exam.Due to the clash of exam dates, many candidates may be forced to choose between the two opportunities.
