Ahmedabad: Cept University has partnered with Saint-Gobain to establish a Climate-Resilient Tech Commons Centre and promote joint research on sustainability, energy efficiency, and well-being in the built environment. Sreedhar N, senior VP and CEO (Asia Pacific and India Region), Saint-Gobain, said that in a country like India, innovations in construction practices can have a significant positive impact. “We want to develop Made-in-India solutions and raise awareness about them. That is where institutions like Cept University play a crucial role,” he said.The proposed centre will house four dedicated hubs focusing on Building Science and Climate Resilience, Urban Intelligence and Digital Twins, Computational Design and Visualisation, and Communications and Media, said Prof Barjor Mehta, president of Cept University.
