Chandigarh: Around 500 students took part in a Tiranga Yatra organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Panjab University Friday ahead of Independence Day. Carrying a 200ft Tricolour, participants marched from the PU Market to the Student Centre, raising patriotic slogans. ABVP leaders said the annual event aims to honour freedom fighters and encourage students to connect with the values of the freedom movement and national unity.
