Margao: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa on Thursday filed a police complaint against BJP vice-president Narendra Sawaikar for allegedly posting a distorted map of India and making derogatory remarks against protesting youth, terming them “termites” on social media.The complaint, filed by AAP Goa president Valmiki Naik along with vice-presidents Manuel Cardoso and Sunil Signapurkar, invokes Sections 197(1)(d) and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and provisions of the IT act and the prevention of insults to national honour act.“Sawaikar made a desperate attempt to incite people against youth who were peacefully protesting and were brutally beaten for demanding justice,” said Naik. He accused Sawaikar of insulting national honour through the distorted map and demanded his arrest.AAP said they will act if police take no steps within three days.
