Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers and senior leaders greeted Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini with black flags in Ludhiana on Sunday. The protest took place as the Haryana chief minister arrived at the Dhuri Line Railway Overbridge to attend the Purvanchal Samman Rally. Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu accused the BJP-led Centre of maintaining a discriminatory stance toward Punjab. “We are protesting because the BJP withholds crucial funds for our health, education, and development while coming here to mislead the public,” Sidhu told reporters, adding that Punjabis are well aware of the “true face” of the BJP.The protest also served as a stage for a statistical counter-offensive. AAP District President (Ludhiana Urban) Jatinder Khangura challenged Saini to examine Haryana’s own record before criticizing Punjab’s governance. While senior Punjab BJP members attended the rally alongside Saini, AAP maintained that their volunteers’ presence outside had overshadowed the gathering. Party leaders concluded that the Haryana government should focus on its own internal crises rather than seeking political gains in Punjab.
