Actor Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is continuing its dream run at the box office while dominating social media chatter. And now, Aamir Khan has finally caught up with the film. Following that, the superstar took a moment to congratulate the team on its phenomenal success, applauding their hard work and creative vision.
Aamir reviews Dhurandhar 2
Recently, Aamir took to the Instagram Stories of his Aamir Khan Productions handle to heap praise on the film. He noted that the film has clearly struck a strong chord with audiences.
Sharing a poster of the film, the handle tagged director Aditya Dhar along with actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
The actor praised the film and wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to the entire team of Dhurandhar: The Revenge! Your Passion, vision and hard work have truly resonated with audiences.”
Last month, Aamir revealed that he had yet to watch Dhurandhar 2. Speaking on the second day of the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026, Aamir said, “I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team.”
About Dhurandhar 2
Dhurandhar 2 is a sequel to the spy-action thriller Dhurandhar, which was released in theatres in December 2025 and grossed over ₹1300 crore worldwide. The film franchise follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent, played by Ranveer, who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal syndicates and political power structures in Pakistan in an effort to dismantle a terror network targeting India. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
Dhurandhar 2 has collected over ₹900 crore net in India till now. At the moment, Dhurandhar 2 is eyeing to outpace the lifetime collections of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ( ₹1,030.42 crore) and Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu film Pushpa 2: The Rise ( ₹1,234.10 crore) to become the highest-grossing Indian release of all time.
Aamir’s next project
Last year, Aamir made his comeback to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par after the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022. Aamir was seen in a cameo role in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos.
Aamir is currently awaiting the release of his production, Ek Din. Helmed by Sunil Pandey, the romantic drama stars Aamir’s son and actor Junaid Khan, along with Sai Pallavi, in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day. It is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1.
Apart from this, he also has another production, Lahore 1947, in the pipeline. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947. It stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles.
