Former Khaitan & Co. equity partner Ankur Sangal has launched Aerion Legal, a specialist intellectual property law firm, together with a team of IP professionals who have worked closely with him during his tenure at Khaitan & Co.
Ankur Sangal brings nearly 16 years of experience with Khaitan & Co.. During his tenure, he advised and represented several Indian and multinational corporations in complex IP disputes and strategic advisory mandates.
The firm is expected to commence operations with a team of nearly 30 professionals. Aerion Legal’s principal office will be based in New Delhi,with plans to expand its presence to Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai in the coming months.

Our aim is to handle complex IP disputes while staying closely aligned with our clients’ commercial objectives. The firm intends to adopt a partner-led model, with senior lawyers closely involved in strategy and execution across significant matters.
