Gdansk: Danone has entered into a definitive agreement to buy Huel, a British company selling products from powder and ready-to-drink meals to high-protein snacks, for an undisclosed price, the French food group said on Monday.
The acquisition will enhance Danone’s presence in functional nutrition and extend its portfolio into the fast-growing complete nutrition market by combining Huel‘s range and digital capabilities with Danone’s global reach and nutritional expertise, it said.
The deal will allow the Huel brand to expand into new markets and boost its growth using Danone’s infrastructure, distribution and research and development capability, Huel CEO James McMaster said in the statement.
In 2024, Huel generated 214 million pounds ($284 million) in revenue, according to its website.
