Erode: A video surfaced on Wednesday purportedly showing unidentified men distributing cash to women who took aarthi to a candidate during an election campaign at Karungalpalayam here. The video shows nearly 20 women receiving Rs500 each from the men at Veera Veedhi at Karungalpalayam. Erode district collector cum election officer S Kandasamy told TOI that he would look into the issue at the earliest.
