Thiruvananthapuram: A district-level seminar to review development initiatives under the Haritha Keralam Mission, with an emphasis on environmental protection, was held at the District Panchayat EMS Hall. District panchayat president V Priyadarshini inaugurated the seminar, while vice-president B P Murali presided. As part of the programme, menstrual cups were distributed to 21 selected institutions, Kudumbashree members and Haritha Karma Sena members across the district. Prizes were also distributed to winners of the district-level environmental quiz organised as part of the campaign. The seminar discussed progress, challenges, waste management, water conservation and sustainability across local bodies. Haritha Keralam Mission district coordinator C Ashok, Nava Keralam programme officer Suresh Unnirajan and secretary Y Vijayakumar attended.
