Ranchi: Voters, who fail to submit required documents even after two notice hearings during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), will be identified booth-wise and their names displayed at the respective polling stations by November first week, chief electoral officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar said on Thursday.Reviewing the SIR process, Kumar directed electoral registration officers (EROs) and assistant electoral registration officers (AEROs) to prepare the lists by Oct 22. The lists of electors, whose cases remain pending despite being served two notices, will be shared with booth level agent-2 (BLA-2) representatives of recognised political parties during their fifth meeting with booth level officers (BLOs) in the first week of November.“The exercise aims to help voters complete pending documentation with assistance from political party representatives and election officials, while ensuring transparency in the revision process,” Kumar said.He also directed BLOs to maintain separate registers of eligible citizens, especially the youths and first-time voters, who have applied through Form 6 but are unable to furnish supporting documents. BLOs have been asked to contact such applicants and facilitate submission of the required papers. The CEO further instructed officials to expedite digitisation on ECINET of Form 6 applications, Form 8 correction requests and speaking orders issued after notice hearings. He clarified that deletion of names due to enrolment in another state or assembly constituency can be carried out only after following the prescribed procedure. The final electoral roll under Jharkhand’s extended SIR schedule is scheduled to be published on Nov 30.
