Kolkata: Kolkata airport’s 24-day passenger-centric Yatri Sewa Abhiyan concluded on Saturday, with Kolkata airport director Vikram Singh describing the initiative as an operational blueprint for service excellence beyond the campaign period. Launched by the Airports Authority of India on Sept 17, the drive focused on improving travel experience through timely assistance, clearer guidance, enhanced amenities, better accessibility and comfortable facilities.On the final day, frontline personnel and key stakeholders were felicitated for exceptional public service and their role in strengthening passenger support. The airport carried out daily theme-based interventions to improve passenger comfort, terminal aesthetics, operational efficiency and staff responsiveness.Singh said that every effort, from upgraded terminal facilities to warmer frontline engagement, reflected the airport’s commitment to keeping passengers at the centre of the operations. Though the formal campaign has ended, Kolkata airport said its mission to deliver responsive, efficient and passenger-friendly service will continue as a sustained operational priority every day.
