Hassan: A wild gaur spotted near a house in Goravanahalli village near Arehalli in Belur taluk briefly alarmed residents. The gaur was seen near a house on the farmland of villager Kenchappa. As word spread, several villagers gathered at the spot to catch a glimpse of the animal. The gaur did not harm anyone despite the crowd and continued moving at a leisurely pace. However, when a dog approached, the gaur suddenly charged at it and chased it for a short distance.Some locals captured the incident on their mobile phones, and the video has since gone viral on social media. According to locals, the gaur later moved towards the Sakleshpur region. The gaur sighting close to a residential area sparked curiosity and concern among villagers.
