Patna: The state presidents of NDA constituents met at BJP state office here on Wednesday to chalk out a coordinated strategy for the Oct 23 elections to eight Bihar legislative council seats from graduates’ and teachers’ constituencies.The meeting focused on election preparedness, organisational coordination and strengthening synergy among the alliance partners. The eight seats comprise four graduates’ and four teachers’ constituencies.BJP and JD(U) have fielded four candidates each against Jan Suraaj and the RJD-led opposition.BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi, JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha, LJP(RV) state president Surendra Vivek, Rashtriya Lok Morcha state president Alok Kumar Singh, HAM(S) state vice-president D N Sinha, ruling party chief whip Sanjeev Chaurasia and Sanjay Gandhi attended the meeting.The NDA functionaries reviewed the preparedness of the constituent parties and discussed implementation of a joint electoral strategy. Particular emphasis was laid on better coordination among organisations and ensuring communication with workers at the grassroots level.The meeting also discussed ways to take the state govt’s development and welfare initiatives to the people during the election campaign.Saraogi said the NDA would enter the electoral contest with unity, coordination and a common strategy. He said all alliance partners would work together in support of NDA candidates.He stressed that decisions within the alliance are taken through consultation and dialogue among constituent parties.Saraogi said NDA functionaries and workers were united and actively engaged in preparations. He added that the alliance would highlight the govt’s work in development, infrastructure, employment, education, healthcare and public welfare.
