Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 110th birth anniversary, crediting him with propounding the concept of Antyodaya, which underscores the state’s responsibility to ensure the welfare of the last person in society.The chief minister said Upadhyaya gave India a model of development rooted in cultural and moral values.Yogi paid floral tributes to Upadhyaya’s portrait at his official residence in Lucknow. Later, in a post on social media platform X, he described Upadhyaya as the “propounder of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya, a distinguished nationalist thinker and a founding member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.”He said Upadhyaya envisioned a development model based on Indian culture and life values, in which the upliftment of every individual in society was accorded the highest priority.The chief minister added that Upadhyaya continues to inspire efforts towards building an inclusive, self-reliant and Viksit Bharat.
