Nagpur: Thieves broke into a locked room at a hospital under renovation on Jat Tarodi Road and made off with 315kg of copper oxygen pipes along with another 30kg of copper fittings, worth Rs4.14 lakh.The theft took place at a private hospital where renovation work was underway. The copper pipes, brought from Delhi on Sept 16, had been stored in a locked room at the construction site.As per the complaint, the theft occurred between 8pm on Sept 23 and 8am on Sept 24. The theft came to light when the hospital’s manager, Devendra Khillare, checked the room and found the material missing.Khillare lodged a complaint at Imamwada police station. Police registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
