The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the CBSE Board examinations 2027. Schools can submit the LOC for eligible students from September 24 to October 21, 2026.
The LOC notice is available on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Schools, teachers and students can check the notice and follow the instructions while submitting the details.

For Class 10, the LOC being submitted now is for the First Board Examination, which will be conducted during February-March 2027. CBSE has said that submission of the LOC for the First Board Examination is compulsory for all Class 10 candidates.The LOC for the Second Board Examination for Class 10 will be submitted separately after the First Board Examination is over.
Details required for CBSE LOC 2027
Schools will have to enter the candidate’s details carefully while submitting the LOC. These include:
- Full name of the candidate
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Full names of parents or guardians
- Subjects as per the prescribed scheme of studies
- Candidate’s photograph
- Candidate’s signature
Schools must ensure that the names and other personal details are entered with the correct spellings. The photograph and signature must also be uploaded in the format specified by CBSE.CBSE LOC 2027 eligibility criteria
CBSE has also listed the conditions that schools must follow while sponsoring students for the Board Examinations.
- Schools can sponsor only their own regular and bona fide students.
- No eligible bona fide student should be left unsponsored.
- Students from unauthorised or unaffiliated schools cannot be sponsored.
- Students must be regularly attending classes and meet the minimum attendance requirements under the CBSE Examination Bye-laws.
- Students must not be registered with any other School Education Board in addition to CBSE.
- Students must meet the eligibility conditions for appearing in the Class 10 or Class 12 Board Examination as given in the Examination Bye-laws.
For Class 12 students, schools must also confirm that the candidate has passed Class 10 from a recognised School Education Board on or before the academic year 2025.Private candidates, compartment candidates
CBSE said that the link for submitting the online form for private candidates and second-chance compartment candidates will be made available separately.
Schools and candidates should therefore wait for the separate notification and submission link for these categories.
Changes after LOC submission
Schools must check all candidate details carefully before submitting the LOC. CBSE has said that after submission, requests for a change of subject or admission in Classes 10 and 12 will not be considered, except in transfer cases.
Requests related to concessions for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) will also not be considered after submission of the LOC.
Schools should complete the LOC submission within the prescribed dates and ensure that all information is correct before final submission.
