Prayagraj: The ashes of former vice-chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Prof Devendra Pratap Singh, were immersed in the Sangam on Monday.Prof Singh’s grandsons, Riju and Yaju, immersed the urn brought from Lucknow in the sacred waters of the Sangam.A condolence meeting was held at the Sangam after the immersion, where floral tributes were paid to Prof Singh. Former UP higher education minister Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur recalled him as a person who remained committed to simplicity despite holding a prestigious position.
