Kanpur: A 15-year-old girl who was admitted in a private hospital in Anand Nagar after allegedly suffering an electric shock died late Thursday.However, the girl’s father, Manoj Kumar alleged negligence on the part of the hospital authorities, and also accused his estranged wife and maternal relatives of killing the girl.Police said that Manoj, who works as a labourer had been living separately from his wife the past six years because of a family dispute. He reached the hospital on Thursday after being informed about the death by his son.He created a ruckus at the premises and subsequently dialled 112. Police reached the spot on receiving information, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.He informed police that his daughter, Lakshmi allegedly suffered an electric shock on Sept 14, and the family admitted her to Kulwanti hospital after her condition deteriorated.He described the death as suspicious and demanded that the postmortem be conducted by a panel of doctors and videographed.Rawatpur station in charge Kamlesh Rai said police would determine further action would be taken after the postmortem report and a complaint.
