Times News NetworkKanpur: Despite a dip of 0.9 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature, the city residents continued to reel under sultry weather conditions on Friday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.1 degrees Celsius, while the feel temperature touched around 39 degrees Celsius due to a high heat index. High relative humidity, recorded at 79%, added to the discomfort. The low-speed north-westerly winds, blowing at around 6.9 kmph, also failed to provide much relief from the heat and humidity.According to CSA weather expert SN Sunil Pandey, cloud movement over the next three days may lead to localised thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and light rain or drizzle. He said intense humidity is likely to persist whenever the sun comes out.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast partly to mostly cloudy conditions across all six districts of the Kanpur division.
