Patna: In an effort to improve the ease of doing business, Patna district administration has directed officials to fast-track clearances and resolve entrepreneurs’ grievances through a strengthened single-window system to boost investment, startups and industrial growth.Reviewing the district’s industrial ecosystem on Wednesday, district magistrate Kundan Kumar asked the District Industries Centre to regularly monitor startups and enterprises operating under schemes such as SIPB, Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana, PMFME and CGTMSE. He said issues related to land allotment, NOCs, electricity connections, pollution clearance and other departmental approvals should be resolved within stipulated timelines.Officials were instructed to coordinate with the departments concerned through the single-window clearance mechanism to prevent delays and reduce the need for entrepreneurs to visit multiple offices for approvals.The DM also directed officials to act promptly on suggestions and grievances raised by entrepreneurs and startup representatives during Youth Connect programmes organised on the World Startup Day. Matters that can be resolved at the district level should be addressed immediately, while those requiring state-level intervention should be escalated to the departments concerned.Kumar further stressed the need to promote plug-and-play facilities and ensure timely allotment of available space to eligible entrepreneurs.The administration will also focus on better utilisation of infrastructure across Patna’s seven industrial areas and increase awareness about government facilities and support available to businesses.He said stronger coordination among the district administration, Industries Department and other agencies was essential to create a business-friendly environment and promote entrepreneurship and employment in the district.
