Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has reacted to reports of a drone attack near the Holy City of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, saying the incident had caused concern among Muslims.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz said reports of the incident were “deeply disturbing and condemnable” and that they had caused anguish among Muslims across the world.
He said the region was already facing prolonged conflict and called on all sides to exercise restraint.
Mirwaiz also urged the parties involved to return to dialogue and diplomacy to address the situation and prevent further escalation.
The reported incident comes amid continuing tensions and conflict in the region.
