Times News NetworkKanpur: The second phase of self-enumeration will be held in the city from November 16 to November 30 while enumerators will conduct a door-to-door population count. Information regarding every individual will be collected during this phase.A total of 40 questions will be asked of residents, but they will not be required to provide any document for this nor will enumerators be able to ask for any documents.The first meeting of the District-Level Census Coordination Committee (DLCCC) was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh who issued instructions to complete all preparations for the second phase including EB splitting, training of field trainers and supervisors, publicity, and self-enumeration on time. He directed that the training of all officials and trainers associated with the census work, including field trainers and charge officers, be completed by October 15.It was stated at the meeting that during the second phase the population enumeration specified information regarding every individual, including demographic, socio-economic, educational, and migration-related details, will be collected. The census will be conducted digitally.Through the self-enumeration facility, people will be able to enter their information themselves within the stipulated period. Subsequently, enumerators will visit households to complete the census process in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
