The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has announced the schedule for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination 2026-27. The Class 10 theory examinations will begin on December 4, 2026, and continue till December 16, 2026.
The first exam will be English on December 4, followed by Science on December 7. The examinations will generally be held from 10 am to 1 pm.
For some vocational subjects, the exam will be held from 10 am to 11 am.

The Indian languages scheduled for December 9 include Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu and Mizo, according to the examination programme.MBOSE SSLC exam 2026-27: Important instructions
According to the board, examination halls will open at 9:30 am. Question papers will be distributed at 9:45 am, followed by answer scripts at 9:50 am. Candidates will be allowed to start writing the examination at 10 am.
Students who have opted for vocational subjects will appear for subjects such as Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Health Care, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparel, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking and Automobile Repair.
These vocational subjects are offered in place of Computer Science or Health and Physical Education.
The board has also said that the examination schedule may be changed if there is an unforeseen situation or if an important announcement from the state or central government coincides with the examination dates.
