Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) plans to develop a 20-acre “Waste to Wonder Park”, or Adbhut Bharat Park, near D-Park at a cost of Rs 17.06 crore, entirely created from recycled scrap.Unlike Noida Authority’s 20-acre Jungle Trail, inaugurated near Mahamaya Flyover in November 2025, which has over 700 life-sized animal sculptures made from scrap, the Greater Noida park will focus on the country’s architectural and cultural heritage — replicas of iconic temples, forts and heritage monuments from across India.GNIDA has invited bids to select an agency for the project. The scrap will include old vehicles, furniture, equipment, machinery, metal, construction and demolition waste and plastic, which will be transformed into sculptures, artworks and structures depicting India’s historical and architectural heritage.GNIDA will bear 80% of the project cost, with the selected concessionaire contributing the remaining 20%. The concessionaire will design and build the park within 12 months, secure the required approvals and operate and maintain it for 20 years under a revenue-sharing and licence-fee model.The park will have toilets, drinking-water facilities, sit-outs, gazebos, pathways, landscaped areas and children’s play zones, along with souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants.The concessionaire will source scrap from GNIDA or other sources for the installations. The project aims to promote recycling and upcycling, improve public spaces and raise awareness about sustainability and environmental conservation, while creating a tourist attraction centred on India’s heritage.
