Ahmedabad: A 36-year-old businessman from Zundal has filed a police complaint alleging that his former employer, the employer’s son and two unidentified men forcibly entered his house, assaulted him, abducted him and threatened to kill him if he approached the police.According to the complaint lodged with Adalaj police, the complainant previously worked in the digital marketing and sales division of a company. Around a year ago, he left the job and started his own trading business, operating a godown in the Chiloda area.The businessman alleged that he was alone at his residence on Thursday when the four accused arrived at around 7.30pm. After entering the house, they questioned him about starting a business similar to that of his former employer after leaving the company.The accused allegedly abused and assaulted him before forcing him into a white SUV. When security guards attempted to intervene, one of the accused allegedly warned them not to interfere, the complaint stated.The complainant further alleged that the accused first took him to his godown, blindfolded him with a black cloth and then drove him to an unidentified farm. There, he was allegedly assaulted again before being taken to a highway.According to the complaint, the accused stopped an autorickshaw at around 10pm and forced him to board it. The driver later dropped him near his residence, where his brother-in-law found him and took him to the police station.The businessman alleged that the accused threatened to kill him if he lodged a police complaint, which initially discouraged him from approaching the authorities. He later sought treatment for his injuries at Sola Civil Hospital before filing the complaint.Adalaj police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS.
